2026 Smart Heart Scholarship
Nevada Children’s Heart Foundation will offer two $3,000 scholarships for two Children's Heart Center Nevada patients entering or currently attending a four-year college, accredited trade school or vocational school. The applicant must have been diagnosed with a congenital heart defect AND must be currently under the care of a NEVADA Pediatric Cardiologist – in addition they must meet certain academic qualifications as outlined below.

2026 Smart Heart Scholarship
Eligibility:
1. Must be a congenital or acquired heart disease patient currently being seen by a NEVADA pediatric cardiologist.
2. The heart child must be currently attending a public or private high school, college or an official home-schooled program.
3. The heart child must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
4. The heart child must attend a four-year college or university, accredited trade school or vocational school either currently or immediately following high school graduation.

2. ESSAY: "How experiences related to my heart condition have shaped my life"
3. TWO (2) LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
4. LAST HIGH SCHOOL OR COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT
5. RESUME
PLEASE NOTE: NEVADA CHILDREN'S HEART FOUNDATION WILL BE MODIFYING GUIDELINES SOON AND ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WHO PARTICIPATE OR VOLUNTEER AT ONE OR MORE CHILDREN'S HEART FOUNDATION EVENTS.
Review Process:
~Applications and all other materials are to be received by Nevada Children’s Heart Foundation no later than Saturday, March 31st, 2026 at 11:59pm.
~A scholarship committee made up of multiple community members will judge the entries.
~Scholarship winners will be notified by Monday, April 27th, 2026 or as soon as administratively possible.
