You can Adopt-a-Heart Family. It’s easy to do. We will provide  you with a wish list based on the size of family you would like to adopt, you gather the goodies, and then deliver to Children’s Heart Foundation. Your gifts will then be given to the family you adopted in time for the Holidays.

CAMP MEND-A-HEART: 6/22-25

Camp Mend-a-Heart is a cost-free, medically supervised camp for children ages 7-18 receiving medical treatment in Nevada who are born with or develop a heart condition. Camp Mend-a-Heart is the only medically supervised camp of its kind in Nevada.

Camp Mend-a-Heart offers a camping experience with sports, arts & crafts, water games and many other recreational activities and programs associated with a traditional summer camp. Camp Mend-a-Heart is staffed by volunteer counselors, nurses and physicians who give from their hearts to help these special kids.

CAMP HEART & SOLE: 7/13-16

Camp Heart and Sole is a cost-free, fun filled and educational camp held annually during the summer months at Potosi Pines Camp, in the hills of Pahrump. This camp experience focuses on modifying unhealthy and negative behaviors, increasing and expanding the child’s knowledge of current eating habits, introducing physical exercise as a fun sporting activity and providing an all around positive camp experience for children.

SMART HEART SCHOLARSHIP

Each year, Children’s Heart Foundation awards a $3,000 scholarship to two graduating high school seniors about to enter a four-year college. 2017 Applications will be accepted beginning in February 2017!

FALL FAMILY PICNIC

Join us at Goett Family Park! Hosted in conjunction with Southern Highlands Fall Festival, our Fall Family Picnic is a free, fun day in the park with lots of activities including games, crafts, coloring contest, costume contest, pumpkin patch, raffle, prizes and more. Heart families are invited to visit us at our booth and receive free lunch and crafts for the kids. RSVP is required – see button below.

MAGGIE'S GARDEN

Heart Kids—You’re invited to visit Maggie’s Garden to choose a toy!

A child who is about to undergo a heart procedure is encouraged to visit Maggie’s Garden and choose a toy to help them through their procedure. It is intended to provide a positive experience to heart children and families during particularly difficult times related to a child’s heart condition.

ANNUAL HEART CONFERENCE

The audience for this free educational program includes all healthcare providers interested in congenital heart-related issues. Education is an important part of the mission of Children’s Heart Foundation, as we work to make a difference in the lives of children with heart conditions. One of every 100 babies is born with CHD. Fifty years ago, many of these babies could not survive. Today, people with congenital heart disease are living long, healthy lives due to medical and surgical advances and expert care – but there is still more to be done. It is our hope that this annual event continues to improve the level of care provided to those impacted by CHD.

BACKPACK PROGRAM

This program provides backpacks to families upon hospital admission. These backpacks are filled with necessities such as a blanket, t-shirt, socks, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, gum, a notepad and a pen, a pocket calendar, shampoo, body wash, playing cards and a puzzle book to help pass the time. A backpack from the heart, and full of love, to help make a difference…
